Rural transformation planning summit

Rural Health transformation Planning summit

The Rural Health Transformation Planning Summit took place on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at the Watergate Hotel in Washington, DC.

As part of the recently-passed “Big Beautiful Bill,” Congress created a Rural Transformation Program, which provides $50 billion to states to transform rural health care. Congress outlined a series of stipulations that are to be met by states to receive the funds, including prioritizing new and emerging technologies that emphasize prevention and chronic disease management, rural hospital innovation, as well as use of data to help rural health care providers.

This one-day convening brought together state and federal officials with organizations on the cutting edge of health care transformation.State officials heard from leaders at CMS who are implementing the program, talked to each other as well as organizations investing in new and better ways to reach Americans in rural areas with high quality health care. Attendees ollectively discussed and brainstormed the highest-impact opportunities for states – programs that would strengthen patient access, reinforce and build new infrastructure, and drive rural innovation through digitally-enabled care.

We would like to thank our sponsors for their support.
